Rules & Regulations

I. ORGANIZER

1.    The organizer of Marathon's Cup is association Maraton Dbam o Zdrowie and the Municipal Authority of Łódź. 
2.    The contractor is Sport Evolution Sp.j. with its seat in Warsaw, ul. Czapli 31a, 02-781 Warszawa.

II. PURPOSE

1.    To promote the running as the commonest form of physical exercise.
2.    To promote physical exercise among the inhabitants of Łódź and surrounding areas.
3.    Preparation of the inhabitants of the Lodz region to participate in DOZ Marathon Lodz with PZU, which will be held on 17th of April 2016.

III. TIME AND VENUE

1.    The Marathon's Cup consists of five runs dates.
2.    Terms of runs:
15th of November 2015 – 5 km
13th of December 2015 – 10 km
10th of January 2016 – 15 km
7th of February 2016 – 20 km
13th of March 2016 – 25 km
3.    The start and the finish line of the run will be located near MOSiR on Skrzydlata streeet 75 in Łodź.
4.    Start of all runs in the Marathon's Cup will be at 10 am.
5.    The route of all runs in the Marathon's Cup will be determined in the Łagiewnicki Forest at 5-kilometer loop.

IV. PARTICIPATION RULES, RANKING, PRIZES 

1.    Only adults can take part in the Marathon's Cup.
2.    Each participant taking part in the Marathon”s Cup must be verified in the Race Office.
3.    Each and every participant will be allowed to take part in the race only on condition that he or she signs a representation on absence of contraindications to take part in the race, in the form that will be available in the Race Office, or he or she presents during verification a medical bill certifying that there are no contraindications to take part in a run.
4.    The Race Office will be located in MOSIR, Skrzydlata street 75, Łódź.
5.    All Participants will be classified in OPEN category and age categories (by gender).
6.    Age categories:
M18 (born 1994-1995), M20 (born 1993-1984), M30 (born 1983-1974), M40 (born 1973-1964), M50 (born 1963-1954), M60 (born1953-1944), M70+ (born 1943 and older)
K18 (born 1994-1995), K20 (born 1993-1984), K30 (born 1983-1974), K40 (born 1973-1964), K50 (born 1963-1954), K60+ (born 1953 and older).
7.    The classification will be made on the basis of points scored in the individual events of the cycle. Scoring:

7.    Prizes will be awarded to the three best finishers in a given category based on the total points scored in the Marathon's Cup. The final classification includes points from four runs, in which the player took top places.
8.    In the final classification of Marathon's Cup will be taken into account only those who will take part in at least three races of the cycle.
9. Closing ceremony of the Marathon's Cup will be held on 16th of April 2016 on the eve of the DOZ Marathon Lodz with PZU in the Atlas Arena.
10. Participants of the Marathon's Cup of DOZ Marathon Lodz with PZU, who take part in:

  • all runs - will receive a memorial medal;
  • four runs - will receive a cup,
  • three runs - will receive a wristband with a pocket.

11.  The entry fee for a single race is 20 PLN, if it is made not later than the day before the event and 30 PLN in the race office. The fee includes a start number, a recovery drink and a hot meal.
12.  The entry fee will not be refunded and can not be transferred to another person or another run of the cycle
13.   Registration for the run is done through the website www.lodzmaraton.pl and on race day in the race office from 8:00-9:30.
14.   The fee must be paid on the following account:

15.    During first registration in the race office a start number will be assigned to an athlete for all events in the cycle of the Marathon's Cup. A chip of start number is reusable and must be returned to the Organizer after the race. At the next event an athlete can pick his start number is in the queue "Pick a number".
16.    Not returning the chip number will result in disqualification.
17.    The organizer provides cloakrooms and toilets. The organizer does not provide showers.
18.    The organizer has liability insurance.
19.    Results of individual runs, any information and current classifications will be published on www.lodzmaraton.pl. Comments and complaints regarding to the results of the Marathon's Cup must be reported within 48 hours of the results publishing at the following address: info@lodzmaraton.pl.
20.    Time limits for the Marathon's Cup runs are:

  • 5km - 45 min
  • 10 km - 1h:30min
  • 15 km - 2h:15min
  • 20 km - 3h
  • 25 km - 3h:45min

21.   The interpretation and the right to change these regulations is the exclusive right of the Organizer.

V. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

1.Personal data of participants in the Marathon's Cup of DOZ Marathon Lodz with PZU will be processed for the purposes of carrying out DOZ Marathon Lodz with PZU, to select the winner and to award, release, receive the prize and carry out clearance of the prize. 
2.Personal data of participants in the Marathon's Cup of DOZ Marathon Lodz with PZU will be used according to the conditions laid down in the Personal Data Protection Act (“ustawa o ochronie danych osobowych”) of 29 August 1997 (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2002, No 101, item 926).  Personal data administrator is the Organiser. 
3.The data mentioned in subsection 1 to be processed in connection with participation in the Marathon's Cup of DOZ Marathon Lodz with PZU will also include publication of the given name and family name of the participant, including the locality where he or she lives – in any way in which the project will be published or disseminated. 
4.Every participant shall have the right to consult his or her personal data and correct the same. 
5. Disclosure of the personal data and consenting to their processing are voluntary, but necessary for anyone to take part in the Marathon's Cup of DOZ Marathon Lodz with PZU. By delivering a duly completed and signed application form to the Organiser, the participant gives consent and permits use of the personal data he or she has disclosed in order to have information about future events and commercial products sent to him or her as well as for internal administrative and analytical needs, pursuant to the Personal Data Protection Act of 29 August 1997 (Journal of Laws No 33, item 883).  Participant has the right to withdraw such consent and he or she can do it at any time by sending respective communication to the Organiser’s address. 
6.All information concerning participants obtained by the Organiser and included in the entry form will be recorded in electronic way and in each case they will be used pursuant to the Personal Data Protection Act of 29 August 1997 (Journal of Laws No 133, item 883). The Organiser will not disclose this information to third parties.

VI. FINAL PROVISIONS

1.  All participants in the Marathon's Cup of DOZ Marathon Lodz with PZU are subject to the present Rules & Regulations.
2. The Organiser reserves its right to make an interview with any participant, to take pictures of or filming him or her for the purposes of advertisement, promotion, use in the Internet or in radio and television broadcasts as well as for other commercial purposes. 
3. The Organiser reserves its right to use free of charge all pictures, film materials, interviews and sound recordings presenting the participants in the run.  The foregoing can be used by the Organiser by recording on carriers such as CD-ROM, DVD, in catalogues or media, on web pages, in journals and on exhibitions as well as for promotional and advertisement purposes connected with business pursued by the Organiser. 
4. It is strictly forbidden to carry any drugs, illegal substances, agents increasing physical capacity as well as alcohol agents of any type to the venue of the race.  Participants are prohibited from consuming such agents and substances both before and in the course of the run on pain of exclusion from the race.  In case a participant is found to be in breach of the aforementioned prohibition, the Organiser reserves its right not to allow him or her to take part in the race or exclude him or her during the race. 
5. By delivering a duly completed and signed application form to the Organiser, the participant gives consent and permits use of the personal data he or she has disclosed in order to have information about future events and commercial products sent to him or her as well as for internal administrative and analytical needs, pursuant to the Personal Data Protection Act of 29 August 1997 (Journal of Laws No 33, item 883).  Participant has the right to withdraw such consent and he or she can do it at any time by sending respective communication to the Organiser’s address. 
6. All information concerning participants obtained by the Organiser and included in the entry form will be recorded in electronic way and in each case they will be used pursuant to the Personal Data Protection Act of 29 August 1997 (Journal of Laws No 133, item 883). The Organiser will not disclose this information to third parties. 
7. Each participant in the run must place the race number on his or her chest on pain of disqualification. 
8. The Organiser will ensure medical care. 
9. The Organiser shall not be liable for items lost during the event. 
10. The results will be published on the event’s web page www.lodzmaraton.pl and communicated to the mass media. 
11. The Organiser reserves its right to cancel the event without reasons. The run will take place irrespective of weather conditions. 
12. All matters not addressed to in these Rules & Regulations shall be decided by the Organiser.
